As the Merseyside Volleyball Association approaches its 55th anniversary, the league continues to go from strength to strength, growing from 29 teams in 2021/22 to 40 senior teams this season, alongside around 6 junior teams involved in tournaments.
With more opportunities to play than ever before, the focus now is on building a stronger pathway for young players and tackling barriers such as rising venue costs and limited funding to ensure volleyball continues to thrive across the region.
